How Billing Works
Segments
SMS messages are billed by segment:- 1 segment = up to 160 characters (standard)
- 1 segment = up to 70 characters (Unicode/emoji)
- Longer messages = multiple segments

Billing Cycle
- Usage is tracked continuously
- Billing runs when thresholds are reached or monthly
- Invoices are generated automatically
- Payment charged to card on file

- Go to Settings > Billing
- See current usage:
- Outbound messages
- Inbound messages
- Total segments
- Estimated cost
Usage by Period
View usage for:- Today
- This week
- This month
- Custom date range
Usage by List

Check usage from Discord:Payment Methods
Adding a Card
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Add Payment Method
- Enter card details
- Save
Updating Card
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Update Payment Method
- Enter new card details
Failed Payments
If payment fails:- You’ll receive an email notification
- A Discord alert (if configured)
- Update your payment method
- Retry will happen automatically
Invoices
Viewing Invoices
- Go to Settings > Billing
- See invoice history
- Click to view or download PDF
Invoice Details
Each invoice shows:- Billing period
- Segment count
- Per-segment rate
- Total amount
- Payment status
Billing Alerts

Enable billing alerts in Discord:Prepaid vs Postpaid
Postpaid (Default)
- Use first, pay later
- Billed at thresholds or monthly
- No upfront payment required
Prepaid (Contact Sales)
- Pre-purchase segments
- Balance decrements with usage
- Alerts when balance is low

- Are there duplicate sends?
- Are messages longer than expected (multi-segment)?
- Is there bot activity inflating numbers?
