Free Plan
The Free plan lets you try Trackly with your own phone number at no cost:
The free tier message counter resets on the first of each month.
Paid Plan
The Paid plan unlocks platform-provisioned numbers and unlimited messaging:
To upgrade, go to Settings > Billing and click Upgrade to Paid.
How Billing Works
Segments
SMS messages are billed by segment:- 1 segment = up to 160 characters (standard)
- 1 segment = up to 70 characters (Unicode/emoji)
- Longer messages = multiple segments
Pricing (Paid Plan)
The annual cycle is 360 days. Provider pass-through costs are billed separately. BYOC segments bill separately at 0.0030 after that — BYOC volume does not count toward the tiers above.
Auto-Charge Thresholds
Billing runs automatically when you reach usage thresholds that scale with your volume:
Monthly billing also runs for platform fees, any remaining usage balance, and counter resets.
Billing Safety
- Minimum charge: $0.50 (Stripe minimum)
- Send-time check: Before each send, we verify your account is in good billing standing. If an error on our side prevents that check, the send is blocked with “Billing check temporarily unavailable” rather than allowed through
- Platform fee waiver: When you reach 1M segments in a calendar month, the $19.99 platform fee is automatically credited back via a Stripe customer balance credit
Viewing Usage
- Go to Settings > Billing
- See current usage:
- Current Period — your tier and per-segment rate, plus segments sent This Month and this Annual Cycle (billing is per segment, not per message)
- Balance — the amount accrued since your last charge
- On Free plans, a Messages this month counter against your monthly limit

Upgrading to Paid
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Upgrade to Paid
- Complete checkout via Stripe
- Your plan updates immediately
Cancelling Your Subscription
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Your paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing period
- After the period ends, your account downgrades to the Free plan
Payment Methods
Adding a Card
- Go to Settings > Billing
- Click Add Payment Method
- Enter card details
- Save
Updating Your Payment Method
Click Update payment method (or Add payment method) on the billing page. A Trackly drawer opens a secure Stripe form where you can save a new card (or, by arrangement with Trackly, a US bank account) without leaving the app. The new method becomes the default; the previous one stays saved as a backup. To download invoices or change billing details, use the Manage in Stripe link under your payment method. If you pay by bank account, keep a card on file: it is charged as the backup when a bank debit fails or is returned.Failed Payments
If payment fails:- You’ll receive an email notification
- A Discord alert (if configured)
- Update your payment method
- Retry will happen automatically
